Fletch -- Can I borrow your towel my car hit a water buffalo

Happy Birthday To Gene Hackman

"Wait! Wait! Where are you going? i was going to make espresso. "  Gene Hackman in Young Frankenstein.

Mississippi Burning is one of my favorite  movies. Great barber shop scene.  Another great scene worth watching: http://youtu.be/UlzaBi_QxPw  Hackman and Dafoe are great in this movie.

And here is a deleted scene fromt The French Connection of him riding a bike backwards.

San Antonio Edit

Nice to see these guys tearing it up. So much good riding in this city.

Turtle Lost His Shell

Or a turtle lost. Spotted this while out walking in my parents backyard.

Current Listening--Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell

Currently Reading---Comics

Thanks to Santa for giving me a gift card for Heros & Fantasies I was able to pick up a few new comics last week. I have been wanting to check out Battle Scars for sometime now, hope jumping into issue three isn't too confusing. Excited to see where this Evil Deadpool story ends up also.

Kuwahara--The New Force In BMX

And here is another update to the Bicycle Motocross Action February 1980 post. With the exception of the stem, these Kuwahara bikes were always my favorite. Although I really wanted a chrome one.

Mongoose--From Take-off...To Splashdown

Mongoose always had somewhat corny ads, but they sure had a way of making their bikes look cool. Ad from last weeks Bicycle Motocross Action February 1980 post.

Bicycle Motocross Action--February 1980

Stanley Robinson and Brent Patterson in the lead at the DG/ABA Grand National in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cool to see all the pros sporting the Bicycle Motocross Action stickers and patches.

BMX racing in the L.A. Coliseum, during the middle of the motorcross finals. Way to go ABA for getting BMX some exposure back then. Wonder if anyone has footage of this race?

Great shot of Eddy King at full speed during the DG/ABA Grand National.

Stu Thompson doing what he did best. Triple and he one the BMXA Nora Cup. BMX biggest legend!

Richie Anderson "The Avalanche." Often wonder how he got that nickname. Did he live in Colorado? Did he like hockey?

As the cover stated, a "1000 dollar custom cruiser." I was not expecting a beach cruiser. That is one fancy rig.

H.G. Wells--The Invisible Man

Found a free download of this and decided to give it a read. Much more entertaining than I expected. Even though I was looking forward to more of a version like the Abbott and Costello movie. Classic!
