Enjoyed a quick Sunday ride through the streets of Downtown San Antonio with Jonas. Feels good to get out on the S&M 26" ATF Cruiser for a few quick miles.

Road Forced Perspective

"tout va bien se passer"

Which if I'm correct, translates to something like "everything is going to be alright" 

I am always in awe of how these Go Pro Max cameras have a truly wonderful way of pushing the road force perspective. Often, in both directions. Reminds me of the road travels, and the future roads ahead. Get peddling!

Just a quick spin around Downtown San Antonio on my Redline Monocoq cruiser. Always a blast to ride this bike around and finally getting to editing a few of the clips. Just a test run until I find some editing software I like.

Sunday Klunker Spin

Went for a fun Sunday Klunker spin around the Semmes Library Park up to the Commanche Tower. This old Klunker bike rides so good.

Spin Through Hemisfair Park

The New S&M 26" ATF

Somewhere in my garage has been sitting a super nice set of 26 inch cruiser wheels for the past few years. A pair of low flange Suzue sealed bearing hubs laced to Mavic machined sidewall rims with DT spokes. And those seemed like the perfect reason for a new bike build. 

The S&M LTF frame in translucent green made for a fitting frame to build with these wheels and assorted Profile and Thompson parts. And to finish it off, my obsession of owning every last pair of Shimano XTR V-Brakes, this bike had to have a pair of these on it. 

Time For An Update

The old Redline cruiser is ready for some maintenance and updates. Not sure what is to come for the ride, but it has been a great bike. 

Somewhere In Time, A Bridgestone Bike Story

Looking back at a few of the bikes that were in the Bridgestone line up, especially some of those from their mountain bike selection, it is easy to see why their bikes were so popular at the time. The Comp MB-2 from 1990, and the MB-4 from 1993 are two really great looking rigs. 

The1990 Comp MB-2(pictured below) with Ritchey Logic Prestige tubing and a great selection of components made it a great build. 

And the 1993 MB-4. Lugged frame, with a TANGE tubing fork, Shimano Deore DX shifters, Dia-Compe brakes, and Sugino cranks. Lots of bike at the time for $725.

The Fairdale Weekender Updated

I've had this Fairdale Weekender for a few years now and have always felt that the brown color had run it's course. So I stripped the frame and fork to send to the powder coaters. The finished olive/Army green with black components really turned out great.

April Ride #10

Some days you forget your lock so your bike ends up upside down out in front of the store.  I do not recommend doing this, by the way. I was lucky enough to know someone that works here and was outside who  said he would keep an eye on my bike for me.
