Not sure how this came up the other night, and why on earth we were talking about some of the worst "detanglers" made in BMX history. Having owned most of the early models that were made, the Spinmaster by Skyway was one of the worst. Only lasted about a month before I bent the sleeve that the stem went through. I guess I am glad I never had the Spin Tech by SAKAE detangler though. Those were the worst.

The Skyway detangler was total shit, to be sure, but as you mention, the Spintech was far, far worse.
I had one of those on my bike for about 3 days, the brakes were unresponsive and mushy, no matter what I tried. I couldn't give that thing away once Gyro's became common place.
I think I might still have it somewhere..stashed away in the "fail" tool box along with a buffguard and an old acs doubler ;)
Great blog you've got here, btw - keep it up!!
