The Rig Is Back Together--Solid

Manage to finally get the rig back together and feeling like a bike that I feel comfortable on. Needs one or two little tweaks, but as it is it feels great.

And here is a photo of me squeaking on the coping in our backyard. Thanks to Jonas for taking such rad photos. You rule!

And big thanks to Empire, Profile, Demolition and Solid BMX!

Good 'ol Comp III

The old Comp II has been with me for a long time. It was getting a bunch of attention at the trails the other day. Find one and get it. Install on front wheel and enjoy. 2.125 tan for life!

Deluxe Front End Update

I have been sweating the front end on my trail bike for some time now. Having all that extra steerer tube sticking out was getting a little old to look at, not to mention the chances of having it rip me wide open. Well I finally picked up a guide to cut it down and decrease my stack height. I actually like my front ends a little lower, and the addition of the 2.125 Comp III on the front makes this bike ride like a dream. Even more now that the stem height is were I like it.

Before shots.

And after.

And here it is with it's seatpost flying in the wind.

Epic Trail Photo

This morning on Facebook Mark Nobel from Deluxe BMX  had posted a comment on a particular photo that caught my eye. It is a shot by Steve Bancroft and I have to tell you, it is one of the best trails photos ever.

The New Ride

Thanks to Mark Noble at Deluxe BMX and Eric Block at Forty Distribution I was able to get my hands on one of these kick ass Deluxe frames and set it up as my new trail bike. And with some major help from Brian at Demolition and Tom at Empire I was able to piece this thing together as almost completely new. I did keep the very old Ukai single wall front rim laced to the Suzue low flange front hub as a throwback, seeing as I have had that wheel forever. Just a few more little tweaks and it is done. Yes, I am planning on cutting done that steerer tube. Now come on Texas, get your shit together and give us some good weather.

Today's sicko rant.

I was not feeling so good last night and some of that carried over today. So this might just a bunch of random thoughts about some of the stuff I looked at yesterday. And hopefully the cold medicine doesn't kick in too bad and have some strange effect on me. I don't want this to turn into some kind of Steve Hamilton post. There is nothing wrong with that though. He is an amazing rider with a creative(interesting) blog of his own. http://disguisedisguise.blogspot.com/
